MegaPOP can create your account the same day you sign-up for services providing you with an easy, convenient way to get started. With the MegaPOP network you're dealing directly with the network provider ensuring that you have uninterrupted service, proactive monitoring and problem-resolution in real-time.

Account Management Options
The MegaPOP service utilizes three methods of account management:
Method One - Pass- Through Authentication
Using an existing Proxy-capable Radius server, you can store all the information needed to log users into the system. Pass-Through Authentication is primarily for ISP clients set up to use their own Radius servers.
Method Two - Account Manager
MegaPOP provides you with a Web-based interface tool that enables account management in real-time. Account names can be added or deleted and passwords modified without complication for seamless account management. The Account Manager method is standard with basic service.
Method Three - FTP
A basic text file can be created and formatted to a FTP file, uploaded to your directory on the MegaPOP system and processed for account manipulation. This method is ideal for creating and deleting large 'batches' of accounts several times a day. This is applicable if you are using your own accounting package and then transferring accounts to a MegaPOP server. The FTP method is standard with basic service.
Pass-Through Authentication
This method allows for immediate control from your own RADIUS system. For example, a customer dials in using their unique logon (example: fred) with a select Realm of your choice (example: @acme.com) for a unique logon of "fred@acme.com." The MegaPOP Radius server recognizes the user as one of your customers and passes the authentication request to your proxy-capable Radius server. Your RADIUS server stores all your end-user authentication information and completes the logon and password validation. The MegaPOP Proxy Authentication server receives acknowledgement of the successful logon.
Realms can be a prefix or suffix, dependent on what type of Radius software is used. Two realms are included as part of the Proxy Service set-up fee. Typically one realm is used for single-channel PPP and ISDN accounts. The second realm is generally used for 2-channel ISDN, or for dual-channel/multi-port analog.
MegaPOP Access Control has a built-in security feature that does not allow simultaneous logons from the same PPP account ID unless users are accessing the system via the dual realm for ISDN and/or dual-channel analog.
Account Manager
The Account Manager interface gives you the ability to list your accounts, search for an existing user in your files, view your current billing summary and even check on account status. The Account Manager allows you the basic functionality to add users, delete accounts, or simply modify or re-set a password. The Account Manager can provide you with:

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
This method is used to send a text file containing all new account activations and existing account de-activations to your MegaPOP account directory. This text file contains a pre-defined file format and a number that will activate the server to add, delete or modify.
The authentication system processes account information 4 times a day, 7 days a week. Upon activation of your MegaPOP account, you will have access to details regarding the format of the basic text-file and how to manage large volumes of accounts for addition, deletion and modification.
